SPCA of Diamondhead

The SPCA of Diamondhead is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are funded partially by the City of Diamondhead, donors, and special event fundraisers. Donor support makes it possible for us to provide critical services and programs to our community.

We are a group of volunteers helping the residents of Diamondhead and their pets. We offer free vouchers for spay and neutering cats and dogs. We have an active TNR program. Feral cats remain a problem everywhere, but thanks to pro-active resident volunteers, we trap, neuter/spay, and release these cats back into the community. If we trap kittens in a timely manner, some are able to be adopted.

The SPCA of Diamondhead works closely with the Hancock County Animal Shelter, which is a “no kill” shelter.  When they are closed, the SPCA steps in after hours and on weekends when an animal is found or reported lost. We provide emergency medical care for strays through the Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Biloxi.  We also provide foster care until we can either locate the pet’s owner or place it at the Hancock County Animal Shelter for adoption.

We strive to give a voice to animals. Please call us if you suspect negligence, abuse, or exploitation of animals.
