SBA Disaster Assistance for Businesses and Residents of Mississippi Affected by Hurricane Zeta

In George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson and Stone counties, residents (homeowners and renters), businesses and nonprofit organizations (including faith-based groups) are eligible to apply for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

Up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed real estate.  Homeowners and renters are eligible up to $40,000 to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed personal property. Businesses and private nonprofit organizations of any size may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets

In the adjacent counties of Forrest, Pearl River, Perry and Wayne, small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply only for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans up to $2,000,000 are available to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster.  Economic Injury Disaster Loan assistance is available regardless of whether the business suffered any physical property damage.

SBA will continue to provide customer service and conduct outreach virtually with webinars, phone assistance and step-by-step application assistance.  I’ve attached SBA’s initial Press Release, Fact Sheet with loan details and a flyer with information on the Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Centers/Business Recovery Center (VDLOCs/VBRC.)
